PTAC Unit not heating

I have an Amana PTC153B35AE PTAC Electric Heat Air Condition 14,200/13,900 BTU/H "Through the wall" style heater in my apt. The unit doesnt blow hot air. The A/c portion of this unit worked just fine, but when you turn the heater on it just blows "room temp" air out of the vent. Just wondered if anyone has any ideas on where to start looking for the problem.. Thanks in advance.

P-tacs can be complicated. Is the compressor running when you switch to heat? If not, then there could be a relay that may be bad. Does the system work in the cooling mode? Does the temp sensor click when you switch from heating to cooling?

These are some of the things that need to be checked - The cost to repair sometimes costs more then the unit costs.

There is a high limit switch IN the element of the heater.

That is why most of the ones I have found that don't work have been.
