need help with wiring new thermostat

Hello I have a rheem heat pump unit outside with an old white rogers mechanical t-stat. I am replacing it with a digital hunter unit. I believe I may have purchased the wrong type of thermostat. the old white rogers is a 2-stage heat, 1 stage cool. its connections are

blue -X1 - ????
white - W2 - ????
red - R - 24V power
green - G - fan
yellow - Y - cool
orange - B -????

The connectinos on my new t-stat are:
RH
RC
G
Y/O
W/B
Y1

could you explain to me what function each ???? connection is for and if I can use my new t-stat or if I need to go get a new one. Thanks

Can be wrong but i think get another stat here. In side the blower door of the unit you should find a wire lay out check that out. Most of the time letters in the stat are, C or X common R power Y compressorW1 heat W2 aux heat G fan
O cooling change over B heat change over, you can only use 1-- O or B,
L-- monitor
E --emergency

When you have a R and a RC If you have just one transformer .you have to put a jumper from the R to the RC.
This is just what they are most of the time .So be sure and check it all out before you wire it in.
On that stat you have RC and RH would need a jumper and dont see how you can tie both O and B to the stat?????
