We have a tempstar 10 heat pump model nhp024aka1 that came with out house the old t sta was a robertshaw 9520 and the other day it went out so I got a honeywellrth5100b to replace it. I did as it stated and played with the programing alot to see if i could MAKE it work, since it seemed as if ti was wired as a multistage. So this morning I took the panel off the tempstar to see for myself where the wires went and this is what i found. r-rv=reversing valve= nohting r=24vac=red wire c=common=blue wire o=heat/cool=orange wire y=compressor=yellow wire w=defrost heat=white wire the problem is on the old stat (robertshaw 9520) the wiring was: r=24vac=red wire c=common=blue wire y1=stage1cooling/heating=yellow o=reversing valve cool=orange g=fan relay=green= of note the green wire was not connected to the heat pump AT ALL!!! w2=2nd stage heat=white as you can see these don't make alot of sense to me anyway. and the new stat (honeywell 5100b) I tried to just do heat pump to new stat connections since the old stat had some crazy and misleading wiring but my problem is 1) I can't find anywhere that has a diagram for the honeywell I can figure out that R is 24vac and ob/w is reversing valve but what is the Y and the G?? I am at a lost for what wire goes where...... We have been fortunate enough that the weatheer has only got down to mid 40s at night the last couple of nights but next weekend it is going ot be a high of 40s so I would love ot ge tthis rewired ASAP. thank you in advance for your help

My compressor sometime runs outside but no fan inside? Sometimes you put fan to on and it will run and sometimes not? Last nite removed red and green at the thermostat touched and no fan ? help
