Goodman air handler sometimes does not come on

I have noticed that intermittantly, the air handler skips an "on" cycle, when the outside unit kicks on. My remedy for this has been to set the tstat control from "cool" to "off" wait a few minutes and turn it back to "cool", after a short delay it comes on. The last time it happened, I turned the fan switch from "auto" to "on", to see if the fan would come on and it did not. So I set the fan back to "auto", turned the heat/cool to "off", waited a few minutes and turned it back to "cool", and after a short delay, it came on. This seems to be happening once every other day. Do I have a relay going bad in the air handler?

Yes, sounds like you may have the time delay relay going bad.
Goodman used to have a sequencer for their fan relay. Not sure what the new Goodmans have now.
Your fan could be going bad and/or have a bad capacitor
Or your thermostat could be faulty but this is less likely

Might also pay to check the capacitor On the blower motor. Jump R to G at the tstat If it comes on then it can be in the tstat.

I have the same issue, but it only happens about once a week. Any estimate on repair?
Thanks,
John
