Goodman,Carrier. or Train?
Is the price difference between a Train, Carrier, and a Goodman enough to justify buying a Goodman 2 Ton slit electric heat pump? Also, is it a good idea to buy the unit on the web and have a local contractor install it?

units
The price you pay is worth the quality of equipment.
Trane and Carrier are both top of the line units.
Goodman IMHO is not worth your time.
The new consumer reports in OCT did not even rate goodman
due to the many problems.
You must also remember the quailty of contractor you use. If not installed correctly you will not get what is expected from unit or premature failure.
Buying a unit off the web is risky most manufactuers will not warranty the equipment if purchesed off the web.
