Heatpump going from 3 wire motor to 4 wire motor
Can anyone help with wiring the new 4 wire motor. The old motor had one black, one brown, and one purple wire. The new has two brown wires, one white and one black wire. I was told the two brown wires go to the new compasitor. The black goes where the old black wire was the (relay), but I'am not sure where the white goes.

I was told the two brown wires go to the new compasitor.
The black goes where the old black wire was the (relay), but I'am not sure where the white goes.
Black on L1, White on L2.
