Converting Gas Furnace to Electric

I am interested in converting Central Gas furnace system to electric. However, the AC is working fine, so I don't necessarily want/need to change the whole unit out. I was wondering if anyone has experience in converting a gas furnace to a 'Plenum' heat unit? What was involved and how did it work for them?

Yikes... You are going to go broke with electric heat only!

Why are you wanting to switch from gas to electric?

What is your electric rates, and gas rates?

Electric Heating

Actually I have several rental houses that I am looking at converting because many of the tenants can't/won't afford both Electric and Gas bills. However, I don't want to do a wholesale change out. Several of them are electing not to have their gas cut on or it has been cut off. Many Landlords are going to 'total' electric, which can get rather expensive. If i can find a way of changing the heat over without changing out the entire package, it might be worth looking into.
