Intertherm electric furnace, blows, no heat

Have an Intertherm Electric furnace, model E2EB-015HA, in a mobel home. When the heat kicks on, around 35-40% of the time it only blows out air with no heat. If I open the bottom portion of the furnace while it is running, where the blower motor and heating coil is at, I hit the very bottom of it with my fist 2 or 3 times (the panel that covers the heating element) it heats up and starts working. Where should I start in the troubleshooting process?

You likely have one or more bad sequencers.
It is sometimes tricky to locate the one(s) that are giving you trouble and it would be a wise investment to replace them all.

If you do make sure you are careful in marking the wire locations and please make sure the power is off!

That seems to have done the trick, put it in and no problems yet.
