Thumbs down Carrier Inside Fan Coil replacement question

I have a Carrier 38ycc042 outside unit s.n. 2805E48158. The inside unit is a FB4ANF042 s.n.3099A25475 that has a lot of rust on the coils. ( all r22)

My question is will a FC4CNF042 unit with TXV work as a replacement for the FB4ANF042?

If so what changes if any have to made on the outside unit?:

Just want to know i can get a new unit Fc4C at a very good price.

Same exact coil in both units.

Part number 316224-759. I get a price of $755.86, not sure if that is my company's or list. I suspect it's list.

No need to change the entire air handler, just install new coil.

Since this is a sealed system change it IS NOT DIY. Must be done by a licensed service tech.

Thanks for Info

I can get a brand new unit in box for $300.

It has a TXV on the coil but mine does not.

Do i have to have anything done to my outside unit if i have the new unit or coil installed?

No, installer will need to charge for subcooling rather than superheat. Look at the install manuals, guidelines are there.
