It has got up to 90F for a day and i tried to use the heap pump (Electric) and it know longer cools the house at all the air coming from the vent is in the 72F + range the house temp was 80f and it never brought the temp down but 1 degree after hours of running so i turned it off. The heat pump also will not heat the house in the winter, i had to use emergery heat. I would think these problems are related? The heat pumps fan works fine and there is no leaves etc inside it. I also checked the filters in the house and they are ok as well. Any suggestions? The heat pump is a Miller brand.

I went on a call for an electric furnace & found the sequencer stuck closed. It is a tappan furnace about 4 or 5 yrs old. I replaced the sequencer with a w/rodgers 2A434-6. This is only 10kw heat with one sequencer. I didn't have a single sequencer so I had to cut out one of the sequencers from the base. When testing everything came on at the same time & shut down at the same time when I cycled it off. I work on mostly has heat. Will this cause any damage running like that or does anyone think I need the oem sequencer?
