Best heat pump thermostat settings.

I a used to a gas furnace and programmable thermostat. I now live in AZ and have a air to air heat pump, should i set the temp back at night? It takes 3-4 hours to bring inside temps up from 68F to 72F. I am thinking maybe just leave it at one temp all the time.

Standard recommendation with a heat pump is to set it and leave it.

What part of AZ?

Best to set it and forget it.

If it took that long, must not have Aux heat to help recover.

I leave the temperature settings set at 71 degrees during the Winter and 82 degrees during the Summer. I set the humidity to 48% both Summer and Winter.

When we go on vacation in the Summer, I set the AC to 85 degrees. In the Winter I set the temperature to 65 degrees when we are on vacation. Bill
