Heat Pump..Aux source and in-floor heating

We moved into a new house that has a WaterFurnace heat pump and a backup gas furnace. The entire basement and 2nd level are heated via in-floor heating and the main level is vent heated.

Today was the first REALLY cold day and it was -10 outside. The aux heat source (gas furnace) kicked in.

What i'm wondering is..Will the gas furnace supply heat to the in-floor system? When I woke up this morning the basement and 2nd level were 64 degrees so it appears not.

Thanks for any help anyone can give me on this,

ScAndal

that is hard to say without some pictures. You need to find out more about your system and how it works. The best way to do this is have the system inspected and have your professional explain the operation to you IMO.
