Temp Rise Question

Good Evening, Just curious If you techs feel a 10 Seer 2 ton Heat Pump moving around 800 CFM with a suction line temp of 121 degrees and a 16 degree temp rise at 40 degrees ambient is an at least an average operating unit. Any response welcomed. Thanks

I'm not a tech, but I can tell you that it's a bit low.

16F split @ 800 cfm = 13 952 btu/hr

That's a little over 1 ton of capacity. At 47F it should provide 22-24k btu/hr - at 40, maybe 17-20k btu/hr.

Either it's moving far more than 800 cfm or there's a problem with the heatpump.
