New thermostat help

My air handler model number is twh024b1401fa (Trane system). I have the following wiring available..

w1 - white
w2 - black
y- yellow
b - light blue
o - orange
g - green
t - brown
r- red

I am wanting to install Honeywell TH5220d1029. It is labeled above the terminals as y2, w2, g, w, c, y, r, rc and below the terminals as L, Aux/E, G, O/B, C, Y, R, RC. Also, would I want the changeover valve to be energized in cooling, or heating?

Tape off the old brown. You will not use the new L.
Wire as shown in my picture. The New stats no longer have separate Aux and E terminals. I'd tape off black, but you can wire it to Aux along with white.

1 = 5
2 = 0
3 = 1
