New air handler, after spark at tstat, no low voltage. Air handler getting 240

I just installed a new heat pump, air handler with 7.5 kwh heat strip and tstat. the unit was functioning properly but after a spark at the thermostat (I think two wires touched when sliding switch, the base of tstat was loose on wall) there was a spark, breaker to air handler was tripped and then no heat, no fan, no nothing. adjusted wiring to tstat, reset breaker to air handler, checked voltage to air handler, read 240 going in, checked low voltage wiring, especially blue (common) and no reading. With this being a brand new $1,500 system whats most likely the problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. My first guess is transformer.

Welcome to the forums.

Most new units have a 3 or 5 amp fuse right on the control board for protection of the control circuitry.

Thank you. This is a basic air handler. Not really a control board per se that I can see. after adding the electric heat kit, there was a few added components, but other than that no control board.
