condenser blower wiring

condenser blower wiring

I replaced condenser motor on Heat Pump, it had black, red, brown, and green. new motor has two brn which is capacitor, and white, black, green. how does this rewire? brown is out?

You have 2 options. You can tape off the brown wire with a white stripe and wire your new motor the way that the old motor was wired or, wire the 2 brown wires to your new cap.

Like this except black connects to a defrost control board...

Defrost Board

I replaced Blower Motor and connected white wire to contactor, black wire to defrost board, it didn't work . connected black wire to contactor and it worked but it wouldn't defrost. I am thinking defrost board needs replaced. would that be correct to connect black wire from blower motor to fan side of defrost board. I sure would hate to burn the defrost board. thanks Kevin
