Trane - Ecobee Smart Si wiring
Hello All, I am attempting to wire my new Ecobee Smart Si to my Trane 4TEC3F36B1000AA air handler and 4TWR3036A1000AA heat pump. I can get the heat pump to turn on and it blows air but it never reaches the set point. It appears to not be turning on the aux heat or coils in the air handler. The wiring to my old TCONT401AN21 thermostat was as follows:
R (red wire)
W2 / X2 (black)
W1 (white)
Y (yellow)
G (green)
O (orange)
B (blue)
Currently I have the ecobee wired as follows:
RH (red)
W2 AUX (black and white)
Y (yellow)
G (green)
W O/G (orange)
C (blue)
The fan turns on and I get only basic heat, it does not turn on the coils.
Thoughts?

Welcome to the forum!! It appears you have the correct wiring. Do you have the factory jumper between RH and RC? During setup did you configure the appropriate heat pump setting (starting on page 22) to activate OB (reversing valve) in Cool? Also, depending on other settings by the user, the manual shows the heat pump energizes for the first 30 minutes. If after 30 minutes, the set point has not been reached, auxiliary heating will kick in to assist the heat pump. I have attached the excerpt from the manual.

There are some additional settings you can configure during setup that control when the auxiliary heat energizes.

Thanks for the response, turns out that in order for Aux heat to work I needed to set up a 'furnace' which would turn on when aux heat is required. The manual states this but it is easy to miss.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!
