Upgrading Robertshaw Thermostat to QOLSys IQ z-wave thermostat on York Heat Pump
Current Thermostat is a Robertshaw 9520 and I'm trying to replace it with an IQ ZTS-110. I took a picture of the original wiring. I tried to match up wires from my heat pump to the new thermostat using the picture as reference along with manuals from both thermostats but I can't seem to make it so that both AC and Heat work. I can wire it where the heat will run (but will also blow hot in Cool mode). I've also wired or where the AC run but no heat. I've all but given up trying combinations to get it to work fully properly. So. Any help would be awesome.

Manual for old thermostat: http://www.manualslib.com/download/6...shaw-9520.html
Manual for new thermostat: http://suretydiy.com/wp-content/uplo...ion-Manual.pdf
My current wiring always runs heat when it should be running cool and doesn't seem to produce much heat when in Heating mode.

Welcome to the forums.
While I look over your stats... a question..... do you have a heat pump with back up electric heat ?

Please confirm that the colors match the letters of the old stat.

New stat code. Jumpers to be set to HPUMP and HE.

Be sure to turn power off before changing wiring.
Y1-----> yellow ----> Y
E ------> brown-----> W1
G ------> green ----> G
W2----> white ---- > W2
O -----> orange ---> O
C -----> black -----> C
L -----> blue ------> not used - tape off
R -----> red -------> Rc/Rh - use jumper if not supplied.
Looks like you have two stage electric heating which means the W1 and W2 are as I listed them.
