Changing out a P474-0100 to a Honywell RTH7500d1007
Ok, here it goes. I have a Totaline P474-0100 stat that I wand to switch out with a Honeywell RTH7500d1007. The system is a Trane A/H TWE065E13FA1 (w/BAYHRT1410 electric heat backup) with a Trane TWN060C100A3 single stage HP.
The Totaline has the following wires connected:
R-Red
G-Green
Y1-Yellow
W2-White
B/O/W1-Orange
Y2-N/C
C-Blue
(The Brown & Black wires are not connected to the stat)
Looks like I should connect on the RTH7500d1007:
C-Blue
G-Green
Y-Yellow
O/B-Orange
RC&R-Red
Aux-White
E-N/C?
L-N/C?
I do show that the Brown wire (N/C at the stat end) is jumped in the A/H to the Brown wire going to the HP. Also the Black wire in the HP is connected to the White wire in the HP->A/H wiring harness, which connects to the W1(at the A/H) and out as the White as W2 to the stat.
What is the proper hookup for this, as the Honeywell manual says "If your old thermostat had Y1, W1 and W2 wires, stop now and contact a qualified contractor for help.)
I hope that this makes sense!!
Thank you!
John

I agree with your proposed wire connections.
Remember to remove power to the indoor unit before replacement. You must also configure 170 to 7 and 190 to 0 on the new stat.

Thanks,
That is what I thought. Did it and everything works good. Is there a way to keep the light on the stat "on" all the time? Would make a nice nightlight and also be able to see the temp from farther away.
With all the help that y'all have given over the years, it seemed like a no brainier, but anything can go wrong

The 7000 series thermostats do not give you the option to configure the backlight. This option is available on the Pro 8000 series and up.
