Air Handler Control Wiring
I recently replaced my heat pump and when I removed the old air handler the control wiring was outside the unit. I know it's low voltage but it seemed like whoever did the install of the old unit was just being lazy so when I installed the new control wiring I terminated it inside of the air handler.
Is this a matter of preference or are their issues with doing it either way?

All wires (low voltage or otherwise) should be terminated inside the cabinet of the machine. Even if not used they should be inside and protected.
