Lennox Heat Pump Wiring
Hello and thanks for your time.
I am located in St. Louis, MO
My HVAC System is all Lennox with the following model information.
Heat Pump HP26-036-15P
Furnace CB29M-46-1P
Thermostat 67K 4801
Photos posted below.
We recently replaced the TXV on the pump. Due to the pump not working, I realized 2 of 4 heat strips were cycling on and off in less than 60 seconds due to a faulty high limit switch. While replacing the limit switch I broke the sequencer. Having replaced both, everything seemed fine. Because we are selling this home no one is living there at this time and we live four hours away. Our neighbor alerted us of a notice on the door due to excessive electric consumption. As it turns out, 2 of 4 heat strips are energised when the AC and or fan are energised. Although I have not molested any of the wiring to the controls, It is possible, but doubtful, that I miswired the sequencer. From my research is seems that the thermostat may be miswired but I'm not sure. See pictures. Here are some questions I'm having trouble finding answers to.
1. Is the thermostat wired correctly?
2. Do I have a two stage heat system?
3. If yes on two stage, at what point are the strips energised and are both sets of strips energised?
4. It doesn't appear that the emergency switch/terminal on the thermostat are used but the indicator light will turn on when switch is closed. Is emergency heat working correctly / wired correctly?
5. I do not seem to have a thermosister or emergency heat relay on this system. Am I correct on this?
FYI
1. I do have a service indicator light on thermostat but I don't think it works.
2.Orange wire activates left two sequencers. This is the side that I replaced limiter and sequencer on.
3. Red wire activates right two sequencers.
Thanks again for your input, Dave

In your furnace picture..... you're only using W1.
That means single heat. One wire activates both sequencers.
Can't see which wires are connected to which terminals on the heatpump as they are blocked.
There must be splices somewhere. There is an orange wire connected to O on the stat. Where does it go to ? I don't see it at the air handler or heat pump.

Thanks for the help Pete. The wires are spliced like color to like color above furnace. The heat pump wires are a bit dirty. Here is a diagram of how it it wired. https://imageshack.com/i/pn602dk5j
What would you consider the optimum sequence for this system?
Thanks again for the help.
