Replacing Janitrol HPT18-60 Thermostat

I am trying to replace my old Janitrol Thermostat with an Emerson Sensi Touch Wifi Thermostat. When I installed the new thermostat when in heat mode the heat runs constantly. The set temperature is at 68 but it was still running @ 71. Had to shut off breaker to turn system off. I need help trying to figure this out.

Welcome to the forums.

Connect white wire to W/E. Tape off the brown wire.

Step 3 ----> HP1
Step 4 ----> EL1
Step 5 ----> O

Since changing out the new thermostat my outside unit will not come on. Any suggestions as to what might have happened?
