Confused about my heat pump...

Last summer I got a heat pump system (Daikin, inverter, if this helps). The system cools perfectly, but Iím having trouble with the heat.

I usually set the heat to 65F, but once the system reaches that temperature it continues to heat. Iíve had the set temperature as low as 62, but the room temperature has gotten as warm as 72. At night, Iíll have to turn the system off because the house will be too warm.

Iíve briefly messed around with the auto setting and it seems to work just fine. I set it to Heat at 65, Cool at 70 and it keeps the house at a nice 67/68.

I called the installers out, they checked the system and replaced the thermostat. But Iím still having this problem. Is it user error? Or is this a problem with the system?

I look forward to hearing from all of you.

Welcome to the forums.

It sure sounds like a system issue to me.
If you can post the system model number I can look into it further.
