Non vented garage propane heater: pilot does not light !

Hi Gurus,

I bought a Non-Vented propane heater- Charmglow, 10,000 BTU, came with eight new 1lb propane cylinders. Heater seemed practically new, I could not pass the deal, I would have more for eight cylinders at Walmart. I intend to use this heater in garage occasionally, maybe couple of times yera..

Issue that I am having is heaterís pilot does not ignite.. There is spark but no gas, I guess. But when I heat coupler with lighter, pilot ignites when I press pilot button and functions properly. Furthermore, If I turn heater off and light immediately everything works fine. But pilot does not ignite after half an hour or so. I did clean the coupler before trying to light (pics attched.)

Not sure what is causing the problem. Please advise.

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like to me the coupler needs to be closer to the sparker. Do you see the gap between the top of the bracket holding the coupler and the coupler? Looks like the coupler needs to be to the top of that bracket therefore putting it closer to the sparker.

1lb bottles sounds kind of small for a 10k btu heater.
Is there a model number on that unit ?
I'm looking at a Charmglo CGL100MX LP but it uses 20lb and larger tanks.
