does anyone know of a web site with instructions for making wood picture frames. thx in advance

Unless you have proper tools and lots of patience, you're better off buying them ready made. Check garage sales and resale shops; sometimes you can dispose of the art that's in them and still come out ahead.If you're framing a painting on canvas you can buy wood lath strip (about 2" wide,) and nail it to the stretchers, with the front edge either flush with the canvas or protruding past it slightly. Paint it before nailing.Good luck!
