Home wiring without going though the walls

Hi everyone,
My question is, I have a new home that I was not able to wire before the drywall went up. I would like to wire my home stereo speakers without going though the walls if possible, using wirless or some other form that would not look to bad. I have look at Home Depot and Lowes and have seen their wire systems using cable runs that you nail to the wall and run the wire though. I do not have a basement or an attic, because if I did that would be a no brainer.

Thanks in advance
Slappy

I've heard several people

here suggest removing your baseboards from the walls. Usually there's enough room behind them or you could possibly make room by notching the drywall behind them or cutting a groove in the baseboards.

Run the cables for the speakers and *carefully* reinstall the baseboards.

Anyway, just a random thought, hope it helped.

Would be tough to do,

but do you have carpet? You may be able to pull up the carpet, run the cables, (keep them as flat as possible....maybe remove some underlayment?) and put the carpet back down. You will probably need special tools to get the carpet streched properly again though.....and you may still get lines where the cables are.

I've used the flat braided wire under the carpet in the past.. its flat and unobtrusive.. you don't know its there and its heavy enough to carry the wattage of a big amp...
