"Learnable" transmitter

My wifes former car, a 1999 Chrysler Concord has a three button "learnable" transmitter installed. It was taught to open the garage door and the security gate in our subdivision. Her new car doesn't have this. Is there an aftermarket transmitter she can buy?

Thanks,

Brad

You will have to search a bit. The units I see listed on various sites state you need to check brand compatibility. As long as you know the brands of the factory remotes, you should be able to find a match.

I copied this thread to the home automation forum, maybe someone there has tripped across what you need.

There are also some sites that let you search by FCC ID (which is required on all electronic transmitters/receivers.) You may want to see if you can find one of them.

Good luck!
