Question Intercom systems

Building a new home and would like to install an intercom & music kit in the house. Has anyone use the M&S Home Intercom Kits or NuTone Intercom System Kits?

I have installed the NuTone Systems, but the best I've used is the Greyfox Cat 5 intercom system. Easy to install, use, and lots of related products.

That is assuming you have cat 5 (8 conductors) running to all locations. The master intercom requires 2 Cat 5 cables. In some implementations, where there was wasnt network cable available. The Greyfox system can work with 6 conductors with slightly less functionality.

I have found the NuTone systems to be rather unsightly and unreliable.

another thought, NORSTAR telephone system.. you can have background music, voice mail, intercom Private or speaker, plus all the conveniences of the digital key phone at home.. on two wires to each location...
