Help! My local phone company just came out and connected a second phone line to my house, but wanting to save $150, I told him that I would connect the jack myself. Well, I'm lost. I popped off the jack and it's just a bundle of wires coming in. He told me that the wires for the second line are the orange and orange-white wires. I see them, but what do I do with them? Help!

Connect the orange and orange/white wires to the same terminals the red and green wires are attached to. Plug a phone in, and call your other phone line. If it works, you're home free. If not, switch the terminals with the wires.

Other problems, post back.

Connect them to the yellow/black, and use a two line
phone, or a two line splitter, or connect them to
the red/green of a second jack.
