Very funny that someone else is recently having a similar issue... I bought a Nest Hello for the front door & one for the back door. My chime box is ancient too, but it has been working for both doors. There are 4 terminals (see photo) but none are labeled. After looking around the internet I figured out that one should be the front door, one the back door, one the transformer and the fourth one might be from a third door that existed before the house was remodeled.
I unhooked each wire one by one & tested the two doorbells, assuming when the front doorbell didn’t ring that terminal was the front door, etc. and the wire whose removal resulted in both doorbells not ringing would be the transformer. However it didn’t work that way. When the 3rd wire was removed both doorbells still worked, and when each of the other three was removed both doorbells were silent... so I’m stumped. Any thoughts?
Or should I just buy & hook up a new chime box?

Hallo guys. To day I connected my espresso machine with a smart plug.
The problem is that my machine has a digital on/off switch and in order for the smart plug to do it's job I have to have the power switch pressed all the time.
Does that harm the device? Is it okay to do it?Read More
