T.V. repair

Hello,
I have a : SONY TRINITRON COLOR TV MODEL-KV-27TS27-

MY T.V. SHUTS OFF WITHOUT ME TURNING IT OUT. IF I UNPLUG IT AND LEAVE IT UNPLUGED FOR A FEW DAYS, I WILL BE ABLE TO SEE T.V. AGAIN. I COULD SEE T.V. FOR HOURS UNTIL I TURN IT OUT ,BUT THEN I HAVE TO WAIT A FEW MORE DAYS SO IT CAN BECOME NORMAL, AND I CAN SEE T.V. AGAIN.

joeevega, Sounds like this television is going into shutdown possibly due to the flyback transformer or #PM501 (protector module located on D board).

I got the same problem

I got the same problem, but I have a 24" Sony Trinitron widescreen. Mine used to be like that, it had a blue screen and then shut off. Now mine is just dead, you start it up and then it goes blue and shuts down, possibly the same problem.

bacon225, Sounds like the IK circuit for the picture tube is shutting television down. Normally it blanks the video. Next time it happens count how many times the standby LED blinks.
