Mitsubishi 65" HDTV WS65807 convergence problem

I purchased this TV about two years ago and of course it is out of warranty. My TV starts having convergence problems. Once in a while especically when I just turn on the TV, the top and bottom of the TV are curved in and have the red, green and blue colors separation. After the TV warms up, it seems like the problem will go away. After reading some of the same problem that other people had, they all pointed to the convergence I.C. Is it the same problem with mine? Please help and let me know where I can find the problem board inside the TV.

I have the same problem with my 65" TV from Mitsubishi. My convergence chip has blown, did you hear back from anyone?

You replied to a post that is more than five years old. The original poster hasn't visited this site in years and he never got an answer to his problem.

That said ... It could be the convergence ICs. Or the power supply. Or the convergence ICs drawing down the power supply. Or both. Or something completely out of the ordinary.

If the TV is approaching its 9th birthday in 2008, it's time to weigh the cost of repairs (which could be hundreds!) versus buying new.
