Sanyo DS19380 Color TV 19 inch
I have a problem with my Sanyo tv.
Lately, whenver I turn the tv on, all I get is static. I press the mute button and wait from anywhere between 2 to 10 mins, the picture comes on and I can see TV again.
Sometimes, it turns back to static and takes another 2 to 10mins to come back on.
What can i do to get rid of this or do I have to buy a new tv?
An help is appreciated..

Your TV lost both sound and picture after you turn it on and later as it warmed up the picture and sound were OK. It's very likely that you have some bad connection, hair line crack in the trace or cold solder in the tuner or IF boards.
You might have to open it up and look carefully for the sign of problem. The fact that after it warms up, it works OK, means you have no bad components in your TV, just some bad connections that you have to find it and fix it. No need to buy new TV unless you want to help stimulate the current economy. :- )

You have a bad tuner, I personally haven't had any success in repairing the inside of the tuners.
Replacing the tuner should fix the set.
This is a common Sanyo problem BTW.
Only thing is the cost of the tuner may be close to the cost of a 19" TV !!!
