Technics Receiver Model# SA-GX390

Hopefully, there's someone who is familiar with this problem. When I turn my system on, I get an "overload" error which asks to immediately shut off power. This happens even while the speakers are unattached. Please help me out if you understand what's going on! Thank You!

There is a short in the system. I have a Technics SA receiver myself
and luckily only blew up the power supply which is a easy fix. Your board has a short which tells
the unit to shut down and start up again. Try looking for a burnt fuse on the board. If not, the board needs to be replaced. If the unit is over 5-10 years old, forget about it and buy a new stereo.

Thanks

Thanks Fatcat...I'll look for something suspicious. I already ruled out the fuse, so it must be something else which is shorted. I did have to use a small wire bristle to clean off what appeared to be dried fluid. Maybe that was the cause.
