Creating a Cable Outlet

Creating a Cable Outlet
I need to install a cable outlet in one of my upstairs bedrooms. The nice thing is that the hard part is already done. I already have the cable wire dropped down the wall. All I need to do is cut a small square in the wall where the wire is and pull it into one of those "boxes". That's where I get stuck. I don't know how to take that bare wire and create the head of the cable jack that sticks out of the wall to connect the t.v. What supplies do I need to buy and is there a trick to creating that head on the wire that you connect the t.v. to?

Might need one of these too.
If it is in fact a bare wire he pulls through the small hole,

Re: Creating a Cable Outlet
So that you do not run into problems later from a loose connection, I recommend that you terminate the end of your cable with a crimp-on type F-connector. When properly done, this type of termination is "permanent" and should not come apart. You can get this connector and crimping tool from Radio Shack.

Re: Re: Creating a Cable Outlet
So which are you attempting to claim the crimp on connectors never come loose or that the screw on connectors always do.
I have never had a probem with loose connections using the screw on connectors, guess you just have to have a little strength in your grip, ha...
