Extended run with RCA cables

I am trying to buy a 36' RCA cable for hookup of an inwall keypad with line outputs(bare wire) and a stereo tuner (RCA connections)

The question is: No one has it with bare on one end and connectors on the other. Can I cut the connectors off one end for the bare wire input and not have a problem? Someone told me that it would screw up the signal.
My instinct is that the connection will work.....Please advise...thanks...

You don't say what the key pad is for, however, you can purchase RG-59 or 6 in any length and get RCA connectors that crimp on or screw on to "F" connectors.

Creating a Cable Outlet

[COLOR=deeppink]I need to install a cable outlet in one of my upstairs bedrooms. The nice thing is that the hard part is already done. I already have the cable wire dropped down the wall. All I need to do is cut a small square in the wall where the wire is and pull it into one of those "boxes". That's where I get stuck. I don't know how to take that bare wire and create the head of the cable jack that sticks out of the wall to connect the t.v. What supplies do I need to buy and is there a trick to creating that head on the wire that you connect the t.v. to?[/color]Read More

Sony Convergence?

I have been told that my problem with the red bows at the top and bottom of the screen are probably as simple as one of the fuses blown on the convergence board and possibly some bad solder joints, I have a sony KP48s35 rear porjection tv, I took the front cover off where the speakers are and I cannot even find the convergence board or the fuses, besides the powers supply fuse, where do I look for these fuses there is a module that has 6 pots on it that looks like it adjusts the color intensity, it looks like it is a sealed unit and I can't see any fuses here, any ideas ?? where these boards and fuses are located on this type of tvRead More
