TV auto-shut-off, but not what it's supposed to do
Hi Everybody,
I have have been over seas for a while and missed the forums here.
I have a three year old Mitsubishi projection screen TV that shuts it's self off. At first it would stay on just like it's supposed to do but soon after the warranty ran out (of course) it started to turn it's self off at random. Sometimes after an hour, sometimes after three hours. Now it only stays on for about two seconds every time.
Any tips, suggestions, or comments?
I live way out in the boonies and the sevrice call cost is outragous. The thing is too big to toss in the pick-up and run to town 1 1/2 hour away.

this probably isn't it, but the easiest thing to check in this situation is the power cord and the outlet. try a differnet outet, and see if you can get the problem to vary by manipulating the power cord. i'd wear some kind of insulated gloves while messing with power.
