convergens problems
my tv is a 56" zenith model# rz56z83d7 the convergence does not work? the lines have no movement at all when the buttons are pushed.the lines do have a constent flicker?this problem started when the tv just shut off.i had a repair man come out and he replaced a module part# 9-1674-03 and the tv worked. but no convergenence? so he replaced another module part# 9-1690 and it still does not converge? the repair man said he can not find the problem.so i called around to try to get another repair man but nobody will touch the tv now because somebody all ready worked on it? does anybody know what i can try next?

Go back to the original repairer, explain the situation and persuade him to try again. He perhaps will have another attempt at it, especially if some money has been charged for the repair so far.
It may mean paying a bit more (if you have paid something) because the fault is obviously a bit more involved than originally thought. However, he couldn't have known that without putting the work and parts into it that he has done up to now.
I don't know whether things are the same where you are but in our area but repairers often exchange knowledge with each other, even though rivals. Your man may know someone he can pass time-consuming difficult repairs on to.

I used to work as zenth tech., and our policy was to charge only for additional labor. so you may only have to pay for the module. he may have to change another board, but the labor is free till the fix is done.this was easy till you ran into a problem that could't be fixed at your home, that would mean a trip to the shop
more money for use of the van. anyways that's how it worked around here. keep on their case till the job is done. good luck ,snuffs
