Aux speakers

Aux speakers
My surround system is in the family room and I added some speakers off of it to my living room. They do not have enough volume. My surround is a Yamaha with plenty of power. It will blast you in the family room and not in the living room. Is their an amp that I can use to boost the speakers?

The best (and easiest) thing to do is just get another receiver (stereo or surround, up to you), then connect the B channel of your surround receiver to the other receiver (or, if you have a line-out or record out, use it - this will keep you from using power from the surround receiver's front channel.)
Good luck!

1. Where/how did you connect the speakers tothe surround system?
I would:
2. Make sure the positive and negative wires are not reversed.
3. Put the speakers from the family room into the living room temporarily to make sure it's not your new speakers that suck.
