speaker help

Not sure if this is the right place or not. I am putting a stereo in a 1972 pick up & want to replace the stock 4"x10" dash mount speaker with 2 4" speakers. My question is should I make a enclosure for this? Mike

Never heard of a 4x10 but you could build a template to house the new speakers out of MDF. Speakers that small usually don't need any type of enclosure and how would you fit it in the dash anyhow. How are you going to wire these new speakers? Putting two speakers in place of one will affect the ohms depending on how they are wired together. If using an aftermarket head unit disreguard the question
