Panasonic Projection TV PTL4074S, about 14 years old has blue, yellow and green but no red color. Neither adjusting the color nor using the "automatic" balance helps. The picture is aligned perfectly, color is the only problem. The color problem is the same for VCR & DVD viewing. Other TVs using the same cable work fine. I don't want to put money into it; it was purchased used 14 years ago. Any suggestions?

I have a Magnavox 5.1+reciever home theater system. As I am setting it up I find that I have 2 standard yellow "rca" cables, and one coaxial cable with male connectors on both ends that are identical to the rca connections. (The only reason I recognized it as coaxial is that "coaxial" is printed on the side) My question is which cable do I use to connect the Sub-Out on the reciever to the subwoofer? This seems like a relatively simple question, but I called Magnavox and they "weren't sure". If the answer is to use the rca cables, my next question would be: how much of a difference will the thickness of the cable make for my subwoofer? The yellow rca cables are flimsy loooking and I don't even know if they are long enough yet. Thank you for any suggestions or advice you can offer.
