VCR -> MPG?

I'm not sure if I am even posting in the right forum for this question. But I was wondering if there was some way to connect a VCR to your PC and convert a VHS to MPG or MOV or another movie format? If anyone has any idea, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks alot-

Adaptec makes some products for this. VideOH CD, VideOH DVD, etc.
I am sure there are others. Here is the Adaptec link.

If your graphics card cannot handle the vcr input, just buy a cheap TV tuner card and install it in an open slot on the computer.

Yes - I believe that is possible. But you need the software. Check out adobie Premiere Elements. (also I hope you have a newer fast powerful PC)
Unfortunately I don't know that much about it bacause I have never done it myself - but I think this software will do it.

The software that comes with the tuner card should work just fine.
