Question Question re TV over top of Fireplace

I am interested in installing a fireplace in my home -- i am trying to figure out if anyone has ever placed a fireplace underneath a tv in a carpenter made entertainment system or if it is even possible. I have been in a vacation home in OBX and saw this done in that house but i am trying to find out particulars -- do's & don'ts or even the proper way to do this.

Unless the fireplace is a sealed backvent or coaxial pipe, and pretty low, I might not. Heat could be an issue, as will the height of the set (You will want the lower 1/3 line to be at eye level when viewing).

Personllay, I'd specifically direct the designer to NOT locate the TV above the fireplace, but beside, at most.
