Question Panasonic TC-68A61 TV won't come out of Standby (turn ON)

I have a Panasonic TC-68A61 TV that won't turn on (or come out of Standby).

The red Standby LED comes on when the power button is pressed ON but the TV won't come out of Standby using the remote or by manually selecting channels on the TV itself.

Any clues please?

tamper proof

does the tv have tamper proof if so is it turned on if it is hold down the tamper proof button on the remote untill the light goes out on some models it is called lock try that if not unplug it for a few minetes to reset it and plug it in and try again if it don't work than you might want to take it in and have it looked at

I repaired this TV set just today. The set would intermittently become stuck in standby mode, not allowing the set to be turned back on.

Test C885 for high ESR. It is a 330u 16V electro. C885 on the set I repaired measured 47 ohms, about 46.7 ohms higher than it should be. C885 is nearby T881 and IC803 on the right hand side horizontal PCB.

Replacing this capacitor made the set magically work.
