Wireless speakers??

Hello, my stereo is hooked up through my computer so I can play a songlist through it. That is in our computer room and if we are doing something on the other side of the house, it's quite hard to hear, even if it's blarring. I've heard of wireless speakers where you can place them in which ever room you choose, it should pick up some sort of signal, and play whatever your playing through your original stereo. Does that make sense? It's kinda like a IPod when you play it in your car (if you don't have a aux adapter). It picks up a signal through a radio station but you still hear the static and radio through it. Seems to me like they should've made it better. Anyways, has anyone hear of such and if so would you recommend it? Would it just be worth it to just run wires through the attic?

Thanks for your help!!!

Cool

I was wanting a wireless surround speakers for my home theater system. The only product out there was Pioneer I think, and it was a crappy system. You had to buy the whole system. I have yet to come across any "wireless" speakers if thats what you are looking for.

Well I have seen them online for sale but you have to buy the base/transmitter seperately. I am not to sure on the idea though.

You can get either an FM transmitter that transmits on the normal FM band to a normal stereo, or you can get wireless speakers that use their own transmitter on the 900 Mhz band.

I didn't know there were two different kinds, well I guess I didn't think about it. I will have to look into which wireless speakers have the transmitter through the 900 Mhz band. Thanks!
