Cool I have no power

I have a 52 inch GE it's about a year and a half old. The power went out in my home and the TV never powered back up. A repair guy came out and did a diagnostic and said everything was good except the power source. He said that the reason my tv will not power up is because of the power short in my home. He said that it was a small problem but I could not afford to pay for anything but the diagnostic. Is their a reset button or a power source part I can replace, is their anything that I can do because I can't afford a repair TECH.

I Thank You In Advance For Your Help and Time

Plug a lamp or known working appliance into the outlet to test it. Look for tripped GFCIs or circuit breakers.
