TV sound through HTIB speakers?

I recently purchased and installed a Sony Bravia 46" LCD TV and accompanying Sony Bravia HTIB. The installation went fine except I can't seem to find a way to force the normal TV program sound to the HTIB speakers. The current cable box is still digital and therefore the cable box to TV connection is coax. Tomorrow I am changing out the digital cable box for an HD cable box. The coax connection will be replaced by HDMI cable. I doubt this will solve the problem?
What is the solution? Thanks in advance.

You just need cables coming from a AUDIO OUT connection, either on the cable box or TV to have the sound. You will not get true surround sound unless the program is airing in that format.
