52 Inch Tv Rca

I have a 52 inch tv model # is p52937 chassis # ptk195m4b when u turn the tv on after a few minutes the screen goes purple anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it????

Can you determine if the green gun is working?

Rick, how do you do that? What would bars & tone show in the green bar if the green gun was out? Black, grey, white?

In a typical T&B, the left 4 colors have the green gun on.

Without green, I think it would be purple red blue black, then that again (at least with the bars I make for color testing)

Primary colors of light = Red, Green & Blue = white.
Red & Green = Yellow
Green & Blue = Cyan
Red & Blue = Magenta

The OP's TV screen is magenta, which means there's no green in the picture. (Or there is some green, but not enough to equalize the color.) Could be a bad gun. Could be the cooling fluid needs to be replaced. Could be an electronic issue. Start by making sure the gun isn't working.
