Panasonic TV Problem

I have 36" Panasonic TV. For the last 8 months it turns off an on randomly. Sometimes it comes back on in a couple minutes, other times it takes longer. It stays on for hours at times too with no problems. Picture is fine.

Smokey mentioned there was something to solder to repair a problem with the circuit board on another thread. Can anyone give me instructions on how to locate the problem and do this?

Post the model # and I'll see if I can pull up a picture or diagrams of the set so I can steer you in the right direction.Does sound like a bad solder joint. The first one that comes to mind on panasonic tvs is the horizontal drive transformer. It's a small transformer usually located close to the horizontal output transister.Look fo a dull looking solder connection usually with a small crack in it.If it's playing that long, they will be realy small cracks that are hard to see.
