Resetting RCA RS2025 3 CD Changer

Hi, I have an RCA RS2025 Bookshelf Stereo, about 5 years old. The CD changer stopped opening. I dismantled the unit to get to the CD changer, removed the 3 individual CD trays and operated the unit by manually moving the drive wheels through the mechanical cycle. I could not see any obstruction. Reassembled it and turned it on, leaving out the trays because I could not figure out how they were supposed to go in. Result: Same as before. It gets hung up in the cycle and stalls. After a few seconds, the word "rESEt" comes on the LCD screen. The stereo receiver works. The single tape deck has a broken drive belt. Any help here will be very much appreciated. Malcolm

craftsman_50, any ideas of who might have that service manual. I checked with Thomson, Inc., with servicemanuals.com and with the RCA site. Nobody yet admits to having one. I've also tried to get the owner's manual with the same luck. Thanks for the response.

Try Sears Parts Direct. punch in the model # and they list an 800 # to call.
